Re: Uninspirng pubs in Hastings centre
Reading through the forums and this thread caught my eye, me and my wife still enjoy going to The Palace on our 'date nights'. Think it's run by the same person/people as The Albion? Have given up with Wetherspoons for food, since writing my previous post, have found the standard of food get progres...

Re: Hastings Pier - Rave On
I went to the one that Gorgon City and Redlight played, luckily the weather was spot on and we had a good time, despite the massive queues for drinks and toilets, or being scowled at by security! If you remember the days of Digweed and co playing, then the raves they put on down azur might be your t...

Re: Uninspirng pubs in Hastings centre
I think given the choice of town centre or old town pubs, most would prefer the old town? Myself included... In town, the one I have my eye on most is the old Pig, now called the Palace? Went in there over the summer when it was a pop up hot dog place, food was okay, but what impressed us most was t...

Re: Professional Image-Editing
My wife uses paint.net at her work, but that's for doing basic photoediting (cropping, magic wand) for the company to upload onto ebay and amazon.
I was introduced to Photoshop at school and have used it since, though when I introduced it to wife a couple years back, she couldn't stand it.

Re: Bexhill Online
I discovered this site whilst googling for local history snippets, for me the bits I find most interesting and check for any updates are the local history and photo galleries. More of a lurker on the forum these days... Just out of interest and me being nosey, what are the most popular sections of 1...

Re: Not any more, they don't!
I believe they only do box collections on Bank Holidays now, I've never signed up to do it myself, so not sure if it's every BH or just random one's they've selected... If you find yourself getting your mail closer to 4pm, it's more than likely your postie is on overtime or simply struggling to get ...

Re: Conquerors March - Completely New Pub
Oh dear, have avoided the Windmill for years now after hearing awful reviews, it was once a nice place to go. Would've gone to the place just to be nosey, but probably carried on with the Robert if up that way, looks like I won't bother being nosey...

Re: Watching catch-up TV
I'm going back about 8-9 years with those charges (was it really that long ago!?) so they've probably gone up, but yes £1 isn't a bad charge and like you say it depends on how much you use. I probably now use a lot more data than I did back then, what with me streaming and downloading the odd game o...

Re: Forbidden Fruit, 119 Queens Road
Well this is good news. So glad it hasn't seen the same fate as so many of our pubs, turned into flats or a corner shop. Worst case has to be the Oddfellows. The Norman Arms (St Leonards) and Kings Head (Ore) could do with someone coming along to revive them. Fingers crossed! I believe the Kings He...

Re: Conquerors March - Completely New Pub
Yes, similar type of place to the White Hart out near Guestling, I think? I heard a rumour a while back that it was going to be a Harvester, so did some investigating and found it was a Marstons.
I hope this doesn't effect the Robert de Mortain too much...
