Hi everyone
I'm moving to St Leonards soon (touching wood as I write this) is there a council run gym. I've finally got into the way of keeping myself in shape and would hate for it to all go to seed for the lack of a fitness gym.

Re: living on the sea front
Hi Steven Know exactly how you feel about changing from owning a house with freehold and giving up that little bit of independence, however, I've just had an offer accepted on a flat on the seafront that includes a share of the Freehold, so am quite happy about it. I've done the whole renovation thi...

Re: LOCAL DOCTORS
Hi, I'm hoping to start living in StL in a month or two, what's the procedure for registering with a GP? Can one just choose a particular surgery or is allocated by a "higher" authority as it is in some areas? Can anyone recommend one surgery over another, am fed up with grumpy GP's with attitude! <...

Hi Steven I'm still on the hunt for the perfect property and have possibly narrowed it to two contenders. Know what you mean about H to StL along the seafront, think of it as good training for a half marathon! Am now visiting H or StL on average 3 times a week and am rapidly tiring of ill-informed e...

Re: living on the sea front
Hi Peter Many thanks for taking the trouble of such a detailed reply. I'm going down to Hastings this week, am currently living in a small outpost in costal Kent. Quite agree with your comments re Hastings Old Town, will look at properties in George Street as quite like the Bohemian feel to that are...

Re: living on the sea front
Hi Peter Nice to hear something positive, I hadn't thought about Blacklands so will have a trawl through Rightmove to see what's on offer. What's your view on these - Magdalen Rd, Marwick Terrace, St Margarets Terrace all in St Leonards? I've quite given up on asking estate agents for an honest appr...

Re: living on the sea front
Hi Steven Like you I'm searching for a flat/apartment to buy in either St Leonards or Hastings. Last time I was there I asked a few people their opinions on various areas in St L and it wasn't too encouraging, specially as I'd rather set my heart on a property (since sold) in Magdalen Rd. However, a...

Running
I hope to be moving to St Leonards in the Spring. I've read somewhere that the town holds a 10k road race but I can't find any details. Can anyone tell me if this is fact, or did I just dream it. Is it run on the seafront? Is there a contact web or e-mail address? As I've inherited a few unwanted po...
