Re: Genealogy studies on Hastings Stonhams

The above seems all very confusing to me! My mother is related to Alfred (Biddy) Stonham. This is her Great Uncle. In the 1891 Census he was living in West Street, Hastings with his Father Wlliam, Mother Anne (nee White). His siblings were William, James, Joseph, George, Frederick, Richard, Elizabet...

I am related to Biddy, he is my Mother' great uncle. Any information greatly appreciated, as building up family tree on Ancestry App.

Re: Castledown Convelescent Home ??

Hello Lynne, I too am seeking info regarding a convalescent home in the 1950's. Mine was a convent run by St Vincent de Paul nuns, but it was up on the hill at St.Leonards, and overlooking the sea. Any help?

Convent of St Vincent de Paul

Josie, I wonder if you have any knowledge of the convent/convalescent home run by the St Vincent de Paul nuns, and up on the hill in St.Leonards?
I am seeking photographic/ or local historical info. I lived in as a while as a child in the 50's. Regs, Lesley
