Re: Re: Employers

I agree, it's really bad when prospective employers don't even get back to you. Just a generic letter would do, that they could send to all applicants. Hearing nothing back keeps you hanging on. I am suprised at ASDA being guilty of this.

What sort of work are you looking for Paul?

Re: Photo Competition

Yes, I would be interested in this too. A good excuse to take a few shots of the area. What do you think the prize would be?

Re: coffee, food and pub

Hey Jenny Welcome to the forum! You're really spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs and restaurants in the area so you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding your ideal spot for coffee, food and a pint or two. Three respected italian restaurants are "Simply Italian" in the old town, "Italian...

Re: Buying a house in Waterworks Road

Drove down there to Morrisons the other day and spotted the one with the for sale sign. As far as I know it's a pleasant little road right in town. Other than the obvious traffic I think it's a good place to live.

Re: Festival

I went to the first one. It was pretty good, plenty of cultural music, stalls and bands. Hopefully i'll make it to this year's one, it must be getting bigger each year.

Re: Whinge, moan, gripe, whinge,

I agree, there are much more pressing road problems that need tax payers money spent on them. The new road layout (or is it pavement layout?) is a crazy idea that has made things much worse along there for drivers. We'll have to see what it's like for pedestrians when it gets busy in the summer. <br...
