I actually quite like those ones for their comedic value but of course the point of the advertising is to cut through the other noise to get your message across. If they do it in such a way that it gets people talking, it's working - perhaps the remarks are intentionally controversial.

I'm afraid we don't offer mobile phone insurance, though some Home Insurance policies will automatically provide the cover for any posessions carried outside the home upto a specified limit (including mobile phones).

Also, if you have any other ideas of how to get this message out I'd be glad to hear them.
