Slum by the Sea?

I have recently moved to St. Leonards, and was horrified to read that some people had named it "The slum by the Sea" Is it really as bad as they say? I haven't been out and about much here yet, but I want to get out and meet people, but am I missing something? I like it where I live. I have a lovely...

I would like to find out more about this address, eg. who lived here etc. I am told that Queen Isobella of Spain used it as a holiday home. Does anyone know where I can find out any information please?

Hi. We have just moved into a flat on the Marina, and I am told that Quee Isobella of Spain used this building as her holiday home. I am interested to find out about the history and who lived here. Can anyone tell me if I can do this?

I was at Brookwood House from August 1952 to Christmas 1952. I t was a convalescent home for children -all girls -with heart and asthma problems, be interested to know of anyone else there during that time
