Re: Young Hastings Thief and Vandal

Why do you have fire-extinguishers on display behind a low wall in open view?

Re: Demise of good clothing retailers

M&S should copy the example of Waitrose and concentrate on food retailing.
A huge area of the shop is wasted on selling out-dated and dowdy clothing.

Re: Moving to Harrow Lane

I would suspect that it could be sold but that the terms of the covenant would still apply.
Better still to apply to the council/new owner to have it given 'village green' status.

Re: Moving to Harrow Lane

Has it been sold yet? Try to locate a copy of the original deed or transfer setting out the terms of the restrictive covenant. The site for protesting is here: https://www.change.org/p/hastings-borough-council-not-for-sale-hastings-borough-council-must-not-sell-the-harrow-lane-playing-field 890 have...

Re: Creativity you do like

Communication with other human beings? I remember the Beatles playing on a rooftop in 1969, the last time they ever played together. The concert ended with the conclusion of "Get Back", with John Lennon joking: "I'd like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope...

Re: Creativity you do like

Art and music seem so impersonal now. You just download tracks or buy CD's online. Nothing compares to the excitement of buying a vinyl record in times gone by. Album covers were often creative and interesting. It seems that something different 'the shock of the new' is what people want. Something t...

Thank you very much number9.

I will look at that - so many wildlife cams on the market - too much choice really!

I agree seahermit, for a prime location along the whole seafront there is surprisingly little on offer.

Re: Old pictures of Warrior Square

UncleB, Congratulations on tackling such a hugely complex project. Not for the feint-hearted. Coping with the damp and installing new plumbing for heating and electricity wiring alone is mind-boggling. I will have to view the video's again, just my first-glance impressions. Many thanks for posting t...

The Mona Lisa is certainly a very famous painting.
I hate to think that this alone makes it special somehow.
I like 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring' by Vermeer, 'Bacchus and Ariadne by Titian'.
Giorgione: 'The Tempest' is a mysterious painting without clear meaning.
