Re: How many members do this site have?

Hi Geoff, Hmmm, sorry but I'm not convinced by those stats, as hit counters are notorious for thinking that the same IP address hitting twice is two different "unique visits". But more importantly it seems unlikely that the Forum gets 2,000 different members logging in every month - that surely cann...

Re: Hastings Pier - Updates

Oh, I remember the glory days - I saw The Clash and Richard Hell and The Voidoids there, around 1978 - there was so much pogo dancing (if anyone remembers this punk dance, jumping up and down and shaking your head and, unfortunately, spitting at the band and anyone else in between) - so much pogo da...

Re: Why no 'Big Issue'?

Well, obviously it has a lot of news and features about homelessness, begging, and the reasons that people end up on the streets or otherwise needing to beg. In addition it has some very good reviews of books, films and other aspects of culture, and a very wide variety of feature articles covering m...

Re: How many members do this site have?

Hi Geoff,
Good to have such a large number of members, but do you have the data on how many members actually visit the site - per week, per month, etc???

Why no 'Big Issue'?

Just realised that none of the street beggars and homeless folk that I've encountered here are selling copies of Big Issue. Very unusual, in my experience, as usually wherever there are homeless and/or street folk, then at least some will find that they can raise money much more easily by selling Bi...

Re: Nearest Iyengar Yoga??

Hello Soo, I have only been able to find an Iyengar Yoga teacher in Eastbourne, Felicity Goodson, and even then it isn't easy to attend her classes. Her main classes are at Bannatynes Health Club, and she can only admit one Guest at a time. Classes during the day are very busy - about 18 people - bu...

Re: Coffee morning/social/craft group - is anyone interested

I've also just moved here and would also welcome this sort of socialising. Another Richard (above) suggested two places but I don't know either of them - any further thoughts, anyone? What times? I'm semi-retired so can do any time apart from Wednesday mornings.

Nearest Iyengar Yoga??

I'm looking for the nearest classes in Iyengar Yoga, a specific form that I prefer. Does anyone know of any classes?

Re: Devonshire Road???

Thanks Marina.

By 'seedy' I meant that several houses had groups of people outside drinking special brew at 10 am!!
