Re: thinking of moving to bohemia rd
Personally I wouldn't want to live on this road. It is a very busy road and also in a run down area. We drove up there just tonight and I was thinking as we were travelling_ _ _what a dump!! Loads of shops shut down and boarded up, loads of properties for sale. I don't like it myself, therre are bet...

Re: Foreign students -host families
Whoops, I am so sorry for the late reply, I have only just seen this. Over the past two years we have had both adults (oldest 23yrs) and juniors (youngest 12yrs) and we haven't really had any problems with any of them, although we did have a 15yr old Russian girl last summer that seemed to think tha...

Re: Slum by the Sea?
I think it may have been a slum by the sea once, but certainly not now. Since moving here in 2007 I have really noticed the difference in the way of the regeneration of the area. The parks have always been beautiful but London road in St Leonards and Kings Road were awful. Now they look great and ca...

Re: Considering relocating to Hastings / St Leonards on Sea
We too relocated to St Leonards two years ago from Eastleigh in Hampshire. I am more than happy here and I have to say I have never seen any trouble since I have been here. I know Warrior Square has a so called bad reputation but the area facinates me, the houses/flats around the gardens look amazin...

Re: Foreign students -host families
Hi, I had foreign students last year and the year before, but am not having them this year. EAC is an okay school to get students from. They pay GBP80 per week for a shared room I think. Two to a room maximum. Single rooms were GBP92 per week (I think). I had two students sharing a room last year an...

Re: Re-open the Hastings Ice Rink!!
My family would definatlly use an ice rink regularly. Although we are newcomers to the area (2 YRS) and never went to the old rink when it was open, I can see that his would be a huge money spinner for Hastings.

Re: What is it like to live there?
RE: the dog mess. When we walked the school run in the snow on Wednesday there was no dogs mess anywhere. I noticed it as I am used to dodging it!! Today, the snow has almost thawed and would you believe it is like the dogs are making up for the mess they didn't make during the cold snap!! It really...

Re: Gillsmans Hill/Ironlatch Avenue TN38
This is probably too late for you now but Ironlatch Avenue has some gorgeous houses. I am not sure where Gillsman Hill is though. If you meant by the roundabout end of Ironlatch Ave its lovely. If you mean Blackman Ave end, maybe not so nice as there is a council; area there. The schools have improv...

Re: What is it like to live there?
I'm curious, where exactly is central St Leonards? Is it the town/Warrior Sq station area?
