I agree to a certain extent Richard. Yes many of the objections are repeated, folk just want to have their say. Permission can be refused because of visual impact, particularly if it overlooks a conservation area. So if people say it looks terrible then that should be taken into consideration. Weigh...

Update:

The HBC communications dept has tweeted to Amber Rudd and Jeremy Birch etc. That a statement will be released tomorrow.(weds)

Commuting from anywhere west of Hastings is not a good idea at the moment. The traffic is appalling. The new link road (when it opens) may or may not make things better. Just been down there (sunday), several buildings are gutted on the upper floors with just the facades and chimney stacks standing. One woman was critically injured jumping from a first floor window. The fire started at about midnight on Saturday.
