I have lived in Church road for over 20 years and in the last 6 or 7 years it has definitely gone downhill..dog muck,rubbish,druggies,vandalism,theft..it is a waste of time contacting the police or community wardens or the local Councillors..And in my opinion anyone who states different must be on t...

Nice residential area,nice walk to the shopping district,not far from railway station and transport,near the parks and the promenade.

Recently obtained a history of Fairlight which has a full page description of the tragedy,if you would like a photocopy let me know..This account seems to be the same as the article in the local newspaper.

He was there in 1935 but must have retired or left because another dentist is listed at that address in 1939..have you tried the registrar at the College of Dentists ?.The house has recently been converted into flats and the outside painted..I could send you a photo by email..

In 1926 Brig.Surg.Lieut.Col.A.B. Seaman resided at Fernside,then the clergyman in 1933,no Seaman recorded in 1939..probably the house became too big to maintain,the house became a nursery and later a school.
