Hi Tim,i also are not sure how my nan got to live in no.5 as there was only her and my aunt living there.It seems really strange to walk into Priory Meadow now and know where her cottage used to stand and yes it still floods down there! regards,jeanb.

Hi i do remember the public shelter next to The Carlisle pub ,it was a sun lounge where you could shelter from the elements to read or just sit and watch the sea. jeanb

Hi Patvick,it,s me again,The Clarence is indeed in Middle Street and Sation Road started after the pub,If you look in the book Hastings Bygones volume 3,on page 23 you will find a map of Hastings in 1873 and it shows Station Road and the cottages.In another book Hastings and St Leonards by Gavin Hai...

Thanks Patvic for your reply regarding cottages in Station Road,true there were larger houses but these were further up Station Road towards the Station.My nans cottage was no.5 ,second one in,which was opposite the entrance to the bus station. jeanb.

Hi,does anyone remember OXO and his cart where he had lots of fish and he used to tell stories about each one .I spent many an hour listening to him and his Wonders of the Deep it was all for free he only asked for donations .As achild this was magical. Hi,i do remember going to see the Tremeloes on Hastings Pier,also going to the pop concert at the Pilot Field in the 60s,the residents were not best pleased !!! jean b.

Yes it was Fine Fare , i worked there in the 1960s.It was a great place to work with a good team of staff.
