Re: Still a great little forum

Good to hear from you again, Seahermit. This was once a lively forum and could be again. It just needs a few people to keep the pot boiling. I'm not sure about Covid being a factor in the decline of the forum unless there were those who thought that they might become infected through using it, and C...

Re: A cry for help

Re: Computer not booting up properly

As for backing-up, my system is to have daily back-ups on two external disks and a weekly back-up on a third external disk. I also (and perhaps more importantly) have a daily back-up on a USB stick that goes with me everywhere, and I mean everywhere, even inside my home!

Re: Computer not booting up properly

Re: At last - Wetherspoons

Re: Harry and Meghan interview

In my opinion, the monarchy is an anachronism, and one that we can't afford. I feel that when the Queen dies, it will signal the beginning of the end of the monarchy. There will be no need for a revolution - just give then enough rope and they will hang themselves. By the way, I am not a monarchist!

Re: Finding it out

Exactly - there is so much to do and to learn. One lifetime is not long enough. It always exasperates me when someone says that they are bored. There isn't time to be bored - it should be a criminal offence!

Re: Graphic Images?

It's similar to an announcement that I once heard before the start of a television programme:

"This programme contains mild language."

I know what was meant by that, but the phrasing could have been better. It made me laugh anyway!

Re: Favourite Adverts

Yes, I like all the adverts of that kind - amusing, entertaining and well acted, but why are toothpaste adverts always so naff?
