Re: The Green Ore
throwing things at cars was a great source of entertainment back in the day. I remember dropping wotsits and other snacks from above onto cars as they queued at the barrier to get into the multistorey carpark in town.....if you could get it into the sunroof it was a bullseye! Harmless fun! made us l...

Re: Greens Gentlemens Outfitters - White Rock
thanks gents for those replies. My understanding is that it was a family owned business throughout its existence - so possibly 3 or 4 generations? In its heyday it employed quite a few staff with specialists looking after the different areas - hats, suits, shoes etc almost like a mini-department sto...

Mr Button - Dentist - Grand Parade
Hi
Anyone have anything on Mr Button - a Dentist who I believe was based in Grand Parade - in the building which now includes Tandoori Ghor?
I believe he would have been in practice in the 1920s-1950s.
Thanks

Mr Button - Dentist St Leonards
Hi
Does anyone remember a dentist operating from premises on the seafront at St Leonards between London Road and the Marine Court?
I believe this would have been between the 1940s and 1960s - I'd be really interested if anyone had any memories or connections??
THANKS!

Re: Dentists at Ore Clinic
I remember the Ore Clinic dentist in the 70s too. I distinctly remember the emptiness of the building and the stairs up from the entrance foyer. It had a distinctive smell and there was an air of fear! When I look back on it now, it did feel kind of like you would imagine a place from communist East...

Photo Request - The Disc Jockey
Does anyone have a photo of the record store on Queens Road - The Disc Jockey? I believe it had a logo of a bird or eagle or something next to the name?
I have a Queen LP with a Disc Jockey price sticker on it, with a handwritten price!
