I remember a pram shop in George Street, next door to the newsagent and a few door west of the Pump House.

Old Town Newsagent

Anyone remember when 59 George Street, about halfway along was a newsagent, confectioners and tobacconists run jointly by two couples.

I remember this well, it was about halfway between Park Cross Road [now renamed Dordrecht Way] and the main Park Gates, close to a steep sloped side entrance, The area is now planted with rhododendrons.

I remember the baths well, from when I was a child in the 1960s/70s. We moved into the area in the autumn of 1968, when only the small baths were open, as the large baths were undergoing repairs. When the large baths reopened the small baths permanently closed. I remember going from West St Leonards...
