Re: NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
I apologise for putting this post in the wrong section and doing it twice. God help me, I must need to see a nut doctor, (fat chance any time soon). Ewwww matron!

Re: NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
Apparently they can't get doctors in Hastings because they don't want to live here. The locums are not committed and I can understand why. One doctor/manager ran off with the staff pension fund money (allegedly!) and another one of mine was struck off. Basic things like getting someone to answer the...

Re: Closing Down
I miss the linen shop too. Opposite the lighting shop is an empty unit. Two people have rented it but closed down within 6 months. I went in one day when it was a clothes shop and the owner was fast asleep on the till - didn't even know I had been in. Not sure how the new tattoo shop next door will ...

Re: NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
That's very true. Sorry you had such an awful experience. The Care Quality Commission are now investigating my case.

Re: Closing Down
What kind of shop would you open in Hastings. I would like to see a good D.I.Y. store. Shame the little one on Queens Road closed down. I see a fancy kitchenware shop is opening.

Re: Closing Down

Re: NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
Thank you for the replies. Prescription put in for processing on 3rd November and it was issued on 6th November but no-one seems to care as I am still without vital medication. One of my medications says never just stop taking as it needs to be slowly tapered off, but I seem to have no choice in the...

NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
I have been waiting 2 weeks for the chemist to deliver medication. They have not had any supplies in. My withdrawal symptoms are too many to mention. For one reason or another getting a prescription is a fight and I'm sick of it. No apology received. Would like to hear your stories of medical diffic...

Re: Closing Down
The lighting shop on the corner of Waterworks Road has been having a closing down / retirement sale for at least 10 years. Will that poor women even get her retirement?

Christmas Lunch
Does anyone know a good place to have lunch on Christmas day in Hastings? Last year we had a terrible lunch - undercooked food, no carols, no atmosphere and cold room (£55 each). This was a posh hotel and we just want somewhere warm with a bit of atmosphere.
