Re: noisy , messy nasty nieghbours we need seroius help

Just saying_ _ _..anyone suffering from this particular situation shouldn't suffer in silence. Not looking to make any enemies but it was horrendous situation that required action and reading this thread struck a cord.

Re: noisy , messy nasty nieghbours we need seroius help

I recently had serious issues with some fairly menacing very noisy neighbours who were openly drug dealing and the police in St Leonards , once informed were allover it, helpful, acted swiftly and dealt with the problem. I found the entire experience professional and impressive. They followed everyt...

Re: Property starting to move quickly down here now-prices o

Rightly or wrongly this country's economy is totally dependent on the building and selling of houses. I am sure we will hear something soon about 'managed growth' in the property sector from our new Canadian bank manager as he puts the rates up in 2014. The outlook for people who rent their homes is...

Re: Pubs and Bars

- The St Leonard I have been in this pub quite a few times since reading this post, it keeps restricted hours to stop clashing with street drinkers but it has been busy every time I have gone in there. Really quirky decor and I found the place pleasant and very friendly- you get free bowl of popcorn...

Re: Property starting to move quickly down here now-prices o

I have kept an eye on it and it does seem like the houses are becoming more line with the rest of the South East. You cannot regenerate and improve an area and then expect it not to have an impact on property values. I see this as a positive thing, people will invest in area financially and socially...

Re: Hastings areas to live

I live in St Leonards, moved from London 4 years ago - like it a lot, big Georgian houses, loads of really great places to eat, great pubs, I find the community to have been very welcoming. The beach in St Leonards is much quieter and in my opinion better, sandy at low tide. GBP800 per month will ge...

Re: Warrior Square

Warrior Sq is undergoing large scale regeneration so the flats are a mixed bag of social housing and private ownership. I live just off the square and I have never been threatened once. I cannot speak for everyone but I think the area has lots going for it. It's very affordable. Architecturally the ...

Re: Should I?

If you are buying somewhere don't write off areas around Warrior square. Used to be a bit rough but that was long time ago and it seems to have a real problem shaking off this reputation which means prices are cheaper than Hastings. Fantastic architecture and feels grander than Hastings. Lovely aven...

Re: Help! have I read too much scary info on this forum..?

SV, I think you really need to put things into perspective. I live between StL and London. I have lived in SE London for most of my life and have a mixed commute spending periods of time in both places. St Leonards may not have the cash and inflated property prices of it's immediate neighbours but i...
