Harold road is a long road it starts from the top of all saints street in the old town and ends not far short of Ore village. Depending on the position could be a 5-20 min walk to the Old Town. I used to enjoy this forum because it was about where I live Hastings and St Leonards. Recently most topics are political or religious and have nothing to do with Hastings. Hastings has plenty of Language schools so your skills may well be in demand. Personally don't think the job market is much worse in Hastings than anywhere else in the country. Marline road is one of the main roads through the Hollington council estate. Recently a savage dog attack took place which injured several people and the owner was sent to prison. Personally I think there are better areas.

Hastings Arms in George Street do good food and is dog friendly.
