Roughly speaking the pier is the dividing line between Hastings and St Leonards

Marline road is one of the main roads through the Hollington council estate. Recently a savage dog attack took place which injured several people and the owner was sent to prison. Personally I think there are better areas.

Hastings Arms in George Street do good food and is dog friendly.
