In reality it depended on who the respective parties were, because he was a bit of a one for favourites. If you were being pushed around by an older and...

No-one disputes people's rights to mount a peaceful protest, but a lot of these seemingly "professional protestors" appear to actively look for opportunities to provoke the police into action, so they can then complain about heavy-handed treatment. Also, they need to know something about the subject...

Re: Red Squirrels

Re: Car service

When I lived nearer to Hastings I used Vic Homewood in Ellenslea Road (behind Warrior Square station, so quite near the front). Never had any problems with the work or the charges.

Re: The Great Storm of 87 . 25 years ago

My wife and I slept right through it and I had no idea what had happened. I was supposed to be driving from Bexhill to a business meeting in Brighton and I wondered why there were so many bits of tree around. I got about as far as the former Northeye prison before I cottoned on and turned back. Oh, ...

Re: Best way to NewHaven

There's no direct bus to Newhaven. You can get a bus to Eastbourne and probably get one to Newhaven from there. Don't know what it would cost you and it would take at least 2 hours I would think.
