"Twenty Twenty"

In another thread today, the poster said this: I know no human beings except BBC announcers who refer to next year as 'twenty twenty'! Re: Yet Another Political Post!

Yet Another Political Post!

Not what you were expecting maybe?

Does anyone know what function this man serves in the House of Commons? Not a very good quality image - I copied it from a video clip.

Re: Universal suffrage

That's fine, I can understand your argument, but people have died in the fight to gain universal suffrage. We can't throw it away - everyone must be able to vote regardless of who or what they are (apart from the usual legal exclusions).

Re: Universal suffrage

Re: Universal suffrage

What about those who have been severely physically disabled from birth and have therefore never worked, nor paid tax, should they lose the vote under your scheme?

Re: Corbyn will never be Prime Minister

It would seem from a number of the more recent posts in this thread that some of the forum members, whom I have long considered to be male, have suddenly changed sex! This clearly flies in the face of the latest fad towards gender neutrality. Members should therefore take more care over the way in w...

Re: The most beautiful sights you have witnessed

On one occasion when I was a small boy (probably about six years old), I walked home with my parents and sister after visiting my grandparents. It was a December evening around Christmas time and there was even snow on the ground, so there was a feeling of magic for me. We reached the highest part o...
