Web Cam
_ _ _assuming one does not exist already then a web cam, possibly sponsored by a local business, which benefits from advertising as a result, may be interesting. This would update every few minutes to show a fresh image and could also act as an "Eye" on events in the field of view Possibly a local B...

Re: Contacts page
I don't see why you would even need to register to see what sort of people are looking for like-minded "contacts" in certain categories Of course 'dating' would be implied if 'singles' were the only contact encouraged I think broaden the category away from "singles only" and allow people to make con...

Re: Save Our Historic Pier
I must say there are several schools of thought here At first I too was quite dismayed by the activity of the arsonists but soon realized that the Pier as such is now actually more appealing as a blank canvas to hang ideas upon The old pier framework looked like an old human body clogged up with pro...

Re: Save Our Historic Pier
Hate to rock the boat but :- 1. how much money is required to re-establish a secure structure at today's reckoning and how are we going to raise the sums required for redevelopment once that has been acheived ? 2. how can the Council compulsorily purchase the Pier if the owner cannot be traced and s...

Re: High speed rail link
Hi, any update on this question since was last raised on here in 2005?
Im seriously thinking of moving to Hastings but commute to Charing Cross daily and was hoping the train might eventually be quicker than it is currently.
Grateful for any info,
Cheers,
Richard

Hollington
I am due to move to Hollington in next few weeks or so. Can anyone tell me what the place is like? Is there a good bus service into St Leonards and Hastings. What about crime and so on - is it bad or just media hype? Obviously I am looking forward to moving down to the area - but would appreciate ho...
