Re: NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
Thank you Seahermit. That's helpful. Ive asked local family for advice. They seem to be being passed around from GP to GP. My need is important as I have a heart condition that needs monitoring.

Re: NHS/GP/Chemist in crisis
This is all interesting. We're moving back to Hastings (Ore), later this week and need to register with a GP. I'm grateful for any advice using local knowledge on how to choose one.

Re: Mystery Photo
Very interesting... my copy of the card and is unposted. However it does have Cambridge Road Hastings 1903 scribbled on the back in pencil. Did you come to the same conclusion that this is where the empty post office building is today? I didn't come to a conclusion really. My jury is still out on w...

Re: Mystery Photo
This card is marked as Cambridge Road Hastings 1903 but it doesn't look right to me... I'm interested to see this one Geoff. I have this postcard in my collection. I posted it on my Hastings & Area Past and Present Facebook page in January 2016, asking pretty much the same question (see link be...

Re: Photo Request - Dorset Laundry
I'm interested to discover that the Dorset Laundry is not listed in my copy of Pike's 1923 directory. Not listed in the trades section under laundries, and number 75 doesn't appear in the Elphistone Road list. Any idea why that may be?

Re: Parsons family
These are the Hickmans in 1923 including Hole Farm.
There's a Mrs. Parker shown for the hotel.

Re: Parsons family
More very interesting photos! If only we knew more. The only thing I know about Hole Farm is the modern estate and Hole Farm Close where my cousin lives! I've seen a similar photo of the hotel before but I think it was soldiers on the balcony during WW1.
