Team sports? any recommendations.

Hi I would like to try and get involved in a team sport such as volleyball or rounders. My main aim is to improve my fitness, meet people and hopefully have some fun but I am finding it very hard. I'm female in my early 40s. I'm also happy to travel slightly out of town too if necessary but local would be preferred. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
