Jazz in Hastings

Postby seahermit » Fri Mar 01, 2019 4:54 pm

This is what I love about Hastings. A Mecca for live-music fans and yesterday I had a great evening at the NUR restaurant in Robertson Street - Jazz Organisation performing and Chris White guesting on sax.

And it's all for just the price of a drink! They are there every Thursday from 8pm to 10pm or so, a different solo artist each week and a really nice atmosphere.

Chris White has had a very distinguished career, was a member of Van Morrison's band for a few years and other bands and is a notable performer/composer/film score composer.

Two more for the road. Dave Appleyard, great energetic drummer, swapped for a while with Tony MacDonnell but I didn't get a shot of him!
