Trying to track down old school

Postby AndyT977 » Sun Dec 02, 2012 10:18 pm

In 1962, at the tender age of 5, I was sent to a Catholic boarding school for boys (run by nuns as far as I recall). I was there for 4 years and left when I was 9 in 1965. The only documentation I have is a remembrance of my first communion in St Dominic's Chapel, St Leonards-on-Sea in Dec 1964.

Does anyone recall what this school was and where it was located?

This must be what is now St Dominics Nursing Home in Filsham Road St Leonards. I have vague childhood memories of it being a school for boys. I believe that some of the nuns who were at the school and the Convent of Our Lady (the girls school opposite) are still living in the area and are now in their 90's!
