Sr Francoise was the headmistress but Sr Lucy was the very efficient organiser. I remember going up loads of stairs to an attic room to do art, but was that St. Dominics?...........confused, not sure what St Dominics is now
That top floor Art room was in what used to be the Junior School, a short walk through the grounds from the main building.

I remember many of you by face but only few names. From my grade (form 1), I remember, Rita Nardos. of course I remember the super strict sister Lucy, sister Francois, sister Sebastian, who did not like me at all, and my favourite sister was the one that will bring us the mail every morning but funny enough that name I can not remember although I remember her sweetness-
Might that sweet nun have been Mother Mary Stephens? I was there 1952-58. She was about 20-30 years old, had a twin sister who lived on a farm nearby & was by far my favourite nun, a kind of junior house mistress. She behaved like a normal human being, was a real delight, while most of the rest were older, had varying degrees of emotional damage, were joyless & looked deeply unhappy. I felt sorry for them.
Would be nice to share memories of that year with someone.
Lots of love and hope you are doing great.
Maria
I boarded there 1952-8. Not my ideal school, I was a free thinker & outspoken, always getting more discipline & courtesy marks than anyone else!
