Hi.
We're a family with three small kids contemplating moving from abroad to Hastings. Obviously one question is where in Hastings to relocate to in order to get close to a good school. I've looked at the ofsted reports but is none the less wiser. Any help and advice is really appreciated.

Re: Which school can you recommend?
We're looking at houses to rent. The children are 5, 7, 9 respectively.

Which school can you recommend?
I live in St Leonards, a part of Hastings and my 3 children ages 8,8 and 6 all go to Christchurch school, they're website is www.christchurch.e-sussex.sch.uk My children have been there since they started school and are very happy. In my opinion it is a lovely school, very friendly and cosy with only 2 classes per year. Hope this helps.
Re: Which school can you recommend?
For Primary schools I would say Crowhurst or battle and langton schools are the best (top of the county tables for results)
and secondry schools
(all girls) HELLENSWOOD
(all boys) WILLIAM PARKER
(MIXED) GROVE

Whats the best secondary school in hastings
Re: Which school can you recommend?
One school I CANT recomend is Hillcrest, On the other hand Red Lake is a lovely little primary school
Re: Which school can you recommend?
I have to say I disagree about Crowhurst Primary school. My children have attended this school. My son left there believing he was a 'bad boy'. He went on to senior school and has blossomed, never receives anything in the way of adverse attention that he did in primary school, not even a detention in two years ( a rare thing in senior school!).
Worse for my second child, and a distressing and tramatic experience all round.
A beautiful school, in a beautiful area. Very small only about 104 pupils, loads of potential. However, in my opinion_ _ _. and I know that's all it is, but it is based on experience, it is a school with problems, in denial.

Re: Which school can you recommend?
In contrast to my previous posting I must say For senior schools I recommend William Parker. It is single sex (all boys), which is not everybodys choice, but I have nothing but praise for the place.
