Hi nick.
I was there about that time but can't be exact as it was a long time ago. I think I was there when I was about 6/8 years old and it must have been 1957/8 time. Like so many more I was sent there from London for health reasons. I remember dressing in some sort of green school uniform. Most other things are fairly sketchy.

I attended George Rainey School in the 70s. My name is Michael Cooper. I can remember a few guys, Dennis, from Norwood, a guy name Floyd Patterson, Huey, and I was there when a girl name Sandra, partially sighted was the first female to attend the school. I was also in the football team. I left at the age of 12, 1974. A lady name Miss Young, was one of the staff. I enjoyed my time at the school. 1972 - 1974. There was also two brothers there at the same time, ginger hair, Lesley was the name of one of the brothers.

I remember going with my mum to pantomimes at the school around this time of year in the early 70s. They were always very well performed so thanks everyone if you were in one I may have seen ;)
