george rainey school st leonards on sea

hi does anyone have any information on George Rainey School which was on London Road i'm an ex pupil and would like to find out what happened to the school i heard it closed in 1996_ _ _..I'm also trying to locate John and Sandra Moyse
and Gerrad Moyse who i think plays football for St leonards social so if you have any news please email me at dutchblast@gmail.com

Well from 1997 to 2002 I attended the PlayScheme and After School clubs they held in the building not sure if they still do, which was on the ground floor. I'm not sure what the rest of the building is used for though.

hi my name is Gerry and I was at George rainey in 1970 until 73 it was a all boys home then and we had two classes or forms which were normans and Saxons,there were there dorms,depending on age,youngest to oldest were,seagulls and starfish,triton and Neptune, the headteacher was ms Bradford who lived nearby in fairlight.and a teacher called mr broom, well it was a long time ago and I was sent there supposedly for my health,from London,a nice quiet,quaint,location called HACKNEY,lol anybody from around that time,give us a message,i do recall some names , Gerald Cunningham,mark and tony hooper,colin,well I was the schools goalkeeper. not bad place to be, better than hackney any day

hi rita,were you there when it changed to a mixed school,coz it only used to be a boys home then?

I when there from about 1973 i think to about 1983
i when there from London i am 1 or 13.
