Winchester House School

Postby patrickvic » Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:05 pm

Trawling through Flickr I came across a photo of this school and wondered if anyone has any information about it..Have a vague feeling that it was a girls school before 1940,is this the building beside the Hospice ?..Incidentally there was also a photo of the old Hollington School for girls but I would not recommend viewing as it is a ruin and would be stressful for any old pupil_ _ _

Found out that this school used to be in what was once Pevensey Road West before you turn into Archery Road and Highlands Gardens, later on became the Uplands, and after the war converted into flats, now empty and in a sorry state due to vandals, boarded up_ _ _There are occupied flats in what used to be the tennis courts behind the house_ _ _
