"Enter Miss Tripper" 9 June 1942

Postby alx48 » Mon Jun 02, 2014 1:42 am

Hello
Writing this from sunny Australia. I hope warmer weather is in the way to you. I wonder if any one in Hastings has information for me about a play, "Enter Miss Tripper" that was performed at White Rock Pavilion, Hastings on Tuesday 9 June 1942. The performance was given by Harry Hanson's Court Players. It was only on for a week as far as I know. If anyone has a theatre programme or photos, local newspaper reviews etc. for sale, please get in touch with me. Thanks so much

Thanks very much for your reply GK. Zoe Edwards, the Local Studies Librarian from the Hastings Reference Library has also, very kindly, sent me two other articles from the same newspaper, dated Saturday 13 June 1942, and Saturday 30 May 1942. Together with your article, GK, this is all very valuable information which otherwise I would not have. For example, I now know the names of all the members of the cast.

If anyone in Hastings has a theatre programme for "Enter Miss Tripper" my happiness would be complete. I would be happy to pay of course or send a jar of Australian honey, whichever you prefer.
