As Hastings holds the world record currently it is termed 'unofficial' but it will go ahead anyway:
Sunday July 26 is Pirate Day in Hastings although no record-breaking attempts will be made this year, it is still expected that there will be plenty of ‘swash-bucklers’ around town and the Old Town, on the day, with a variety of events taking place, centred on Winkle Island.

This being Hastings it would be cool to have a Pirate 'smiley' of some sort.
