JAZZ! On Thursday nights at the JD Bar
Re: JAZZ! On Thursday nights at the JD Bar
I suppose I should stop doing this, but the jazz sessions at the JD Bar are very addictive and last Thursday night was one of the very best. Marcus Weeks guesting on trombone, the place was packed and most people jigging about. Rebecca Mason looking pretty by the Christmas tree and sounding lovely. And Pete Burden of course on sax leading a rousing night.

It has to be singly, I'm afraid .. from a smartphone! Herewith Marcus Weeks.

And Rebecca Mason. The music starts at 9pm every Thursday, at the JD Bar, Claremont (30 yards from the library). A very cosy bistro atmosphere, things can only get livelier as Christmas comes up.

On behalf of all of us involved in The Jazz Organisation sesssions, thank you for your support and for your great photos. It's is very much appreciated and we hope others looking at this thread will be encouraged to come and sample what we do in this very welcoming venue.

Thanks very much, that's nice. I'm only too glad to pay something back for all the pleasure that I and others have had. In an age when some people are too easily satisfied, it is gratifying to hear music which is really good and the product of much hard work and real talent! Thanks to all of you.
Re: JAZZ! On Thursday nights at the JD Bar
The last jazz session of 2015 at the JD Bar is on Thursday night at 9pm (Pete Burden and Jazz Organisation). Likely to be VERY popular: fifteen-year-old Harry Whitty leaves aside his homework and returns on trombone! Rebecca Mason will no doubt be sweetly singing THAT Christmas song. All in a very cosy and friendly bistro-bar.
