I see some life-rings have now been hastily attached to the railings.
One other item that might be useful, some signs indicating the way to Hastings Pier.
The nearby underground BMX bike centre is rather impressive and worth viewing.
Apparently it was originally a luxurious Turkish Baths which opened in 1874 - a couple of years after the Pier opened.

I am sure the Pier will attract more good stuff.
An underground aquarium as at Brighton would be brilliant.
