Would anyone out there be able to recommend dog sitters and walkers and know of any cabs or dog professional who would be willing to drive a dog ? London to St L. its a bit urgent.

There's a couple of dog walking services listed in the directory, so maybe call them for prices/details. Pet Shops & Services

Also, my neighbour does dog walking for a number of people in the immediate neighbourhood. What part of town are you in?

As for transport, getting the train is the first thing that comes to mind. But if you're set on using a taxi it might be worth calling a few of the Hastings Cab Firms to see what their policy is on transporting pets.
