can anyone recommend a reliable plumber, having problems finding one, thanks

Reliable Plumbing engineer - knowledgeable and competent at doing smaller jobs generally although he doesn't install boilers but has contacts if you do require one.
Enquire about call-out charges as per usual!

I have recently found a very good plumber (team) for boiler replacements, as well as other plumbing jobs - I will ask tomorrow if I can post their details on here.

I can personally recommend this man, his invoice came under quote and work completed in a day. Extremely polite and highly knowledgeable and hard working. He is always very busy which I take as a sign of a good contractor.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR:

1. Like with any other contractor, you should only hire a licensed plumber.

2. Verify that the plumber is insured.

3. Do they guarantee their work?
4. Check to see if the company has any awards or professional affiliations.

5. Call the company and take note of who answers the phone.

6. Get quotes for your plumbing problem from at least 3 plumbers, but preferably more.

7. Always ask what is provided for the quoted price.

8. A reputable plumber will not only provide you with a quote and upon request will give you a price ceiling if the problem goes beyond what expected.

I had an issue with my boiler and they came out on the same day and had it fixed in half an hour. Really refreshing as I was worried I would have to have a new boiler and you don't know who you can trust these days.
