small job plumber

Does anyone know a decent plumber who will tackle a shower-tray seal job.
My seal has gone, the white strip of plastic needs replacing and re-sealing.
I thought the metal pipes had a leak at first as water dripped merrily into the kitchen below.
Easy enough if you know how, no doubt, but I don't and would spend a lot of time to get it right?
Thanks for any advice.
:)

Hi Richard, I have a friend (probably seeing him in the Weatherspoon pub tomorrow night) who is/was a metal worker, toolmaker, carpenter etc. , so quite fussy about a job being done properly. He knows a plumber whom he swears by, thinks he is really good.

Let me know if you want the phone number.

I had exactly the same problem once. I knew the theory of repairing it, but it is quite tricky and fiddly - atleast one plumber didn't do a perfect job and it had to be touched-up by someone else!

I could have learned how to do it maybe but the investment of time wasn't worth it.

Sorry, Richard, I haven't forgotten about this. My friend is quite reliable but not good at replying quickly to text messages!

If you are in a hurry, I will speed the process up, otherwise I should be able to get hold of the phone number in a day or two.

Bingo Richard! The plumber is named Peter (he has others who help him, possibly sons) and his number is: 07889644626.

My friend (had a bit of flu, hence the delay) again said the man did an excellent job - I hope you will find that to be reliable.

That is very kind of you, seahermit.
I will contact Peter when I come out of hibernation.

Cheers,

Richard
