Dr Who

Postby Richard » Sun Oct 21, 2018 8:02 pm

I wasn't really prepared for a woman Dr Who, I did not much like the idea.
Don't ask me why! Was I prejudiced by the fact that men took the title role previously?
I have to say that I think the current series is much improved by a very articulate woman in charge and the issues tackled now are 'full-on' racial bigotry from the mid 1950's in America.
Where all this leads I am uncertain but it is important that such issues are addressed, for better or for worse and I am happy that we can tackle them.
Space monsters or aliens can take a back-seat.

Gay people, black people, you name it, we are a pretty divisive culture world-wide when anything does not fit into our selfish and clannish thoughts.
I am happy that we are now being more open about both our attitudes and past mistakes.
