The Scottish Thorn

Why are the SNP still so hell-bent on a divorce with the U.K.?
They have already had a vote about this issue under Alex Salmond and decided to remain.
The Scots have had their own Parliament, since September 2004, their official 'home' has been a new Scottish Parliament Building, in the Holyrood area of Edinburgh.
The Scots also have 59 Members of Parliament (MPs) who represent Scottish constituencies, at Westminster.
Therefore they vote on English matters, far outside Scotland, as far as I can determine.
The Scots and the Irish have caused more than a few thorns in the side of the English with their history of mischief and mayhem, based on settlement and religious clashes.
Would we not be much better off without them?

Yes indeed - MPs at Westminster from Scottish constituencies vote on matters which, in some cases, have no effect on their constituents = The West Lothian Question. A question which has never been answered, possibly for fear of upsetting the Scots. The same as the Barnett formula, never questioned for fear of upsetting the Scots. BY the way, just in case a poster comes on here suggesting I have it in for the Scots - he should know that I have Scottish antecedents.

What should never be forgotten is that the population of Scotland is akin to the population of Yorkshire and Nicola Sturgeon is therefore little more than a large city mayor.
