Brexit - The Final Frontier

Postby Richard » Sat Dec 19, 2020 9:41 pm

Mr Macron has repeatedly said the UK cannot expect tariff-free access to the EU market while expelling boats from its fishing waters.
That says it all.
Fish is the healthiest from of food on the planet.
We have to import fish because of the quota restrictions.
How cheap is that?

If Brexit could be done quickly, without consequences, then it would have happened already.
We are not allowed to catch all fish swimming in our waters, at will, we have to share them with others.
I have no real problem with that but the EU seems to believe that they have a supreme right to do so.
A right they will not give up regardless.
It's all a bit silly really, there has to be a compromise somewhere.
