Life on Mars

There is a new space-vehicle crawling over Mars now.
If a 'once-living' organism is found let's hope it is not a wretched virus.
Actually evidence of any former life there would surely indicate that the universe is crawling with abundant life forms.
The only problem is that the we will never know because the distances are too great to travel to find out!
