A new client of mine is looking to hire a local, ideally Hastings based IT apprentice. This person should already have some technical IT skills but will be trained up. A rare opportunity has arisen at an established IT Support, Telecoms and Services Company in Hastings town centre for an IT Engineer Apprentice. If successful within the Apprenticeship term, this will lead to a career within the Company.
The IT Engineer Apprentice will gain skills and knowledge through work placed training and outsourced certified courses, whilst being paid £10,000 per annum.
The role involves telephone IT Support and you will need to be able to demonstrate a calm, friendly and reassuring presence to our clients.

It would be an advantage if candidates have some basic knowledge of:

• Windows Server
• Windows Desktops
• Networking Hardware – Routers / Switches
• DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP Transport
• Active Directory / Group Policy
• Microsoft Exchange / 365
• Printers / Scanners
• Third Party Software Troubleshooting
• WordPress Websites

This IT Engineer Apprentice position is currently based from home due to the pandemic. You will be supported via an active video session with one of our engineers throughout the day. Home Broadband with upload speed of 1.5Mb is essential as this will be facilitated via screen sharing and video link.

Once the risk has lifted the position will be based in our Hastings Town Centre office which is easily commutable from St. Leonards-on-sea, Bexhill, Crowhurst, Westfield, Fairlight and Eastbourne.
