Hot Keys to insert password

Postby Richard » Sun Aug 10, 2014 1:39 pm

One thing not necessarily related to this website I would like is the ability to assign 'hot keys' to insert a password or similar 'string' into a text box online.
The number of times i have pasted what I thought was my password, only to find I had copied text relating to some other operation, is countless.

I use something called Roboform. It remembers all my usernames and passwords and fills them in for me as I visit various sites. Just requires one "master password" which has to be entered each session of computer use (for security). There are other tools that do the same thing but I have not tried them so can only recommend this one.

Thanks will try this, 'FireyFoxey' offers to remember via a 'Master Password' but I can't find what it wants to know, or how to set it as it asks for the old one, which is a mystery to me.
