Low on Disk Space

Any suggestions for getting rid of files please!!
someone mentioned 'windirstat' to show what files use space, but should I just get a bigger disk?

External hard disks are cheap as chips these days, making it really easy to archive off your documents and free up some valuable space. Or use cloud storage from the likes of dropbox to move your stuff to.

Have you emptied the recycle bin and run disk cleanup to see how much space can be claimed back?

Thanks for all the suggestions, started off by using ccleaner to delete some files and will look at external disks too.
