monthly bus ticket

Hi
I'm going to spend whole month in Hastings this summer in language school. I'm sure I'll have to commute and i'm wondering how much does monthly bus ticket in Hasting cost? I'm 16 - maybe there would be some discounts?
And another question (it's not right topic, I think, but whatever - are prices in Hastings high? How much money should I take for one month? I'll live at host family.

Hi Joan

Probably best if you contact Stagecoach, the local bus company. I think you can get a ranger ticket weekly but not sure about monthly. http://www.stagecoachbus.com/hastings/

As for how much money to bring, I suppose it depends what you are going to do as regards eating out, visiting attractions etc. All the extras do add up. I think you'll be best off bringing a small amount of cash and a debit card that will work in this country.
