Sounds like CISS is the way ahead, they seem more popular in America and are only just catching on over here perhaps.

Nothing new to the UK, CISS setups have been around for many years and are the only sensible way to go if you print medium to high volumes. You get to choose your own ink brands which you can buy in bulk and you aren't having to replace carts every other day.

America is not so good for these as Epson use code to lock the printers to their own brand carts (especially on later models). This is not the case for the rest of the world so we're all good here to modify our printers.
