Funny, i've heard it called the sh#t farm too, but I think it's more to do with the storm drains that run from the park.

Does anyone remember what was there before? Coombs garage ring any bells?

I remember Coombs Motors being there. They closed down about 15 years ago. Someone who was clearing the premises invited me in to see if I wanted to buy any of the remaining equipment including a safe with no key - really useful!

I seem to remember that they had petrol pumps at the front of the premises.

Can't remember much about it, but definately petrol pumps out the front. I seem to remember it was a Vauxhall dealer? Could be wrong.

We used to frequent Turners bike shop a few doors up for all our BMX bits when I was a teen. The owner had the nicname Wiggy, pretty obvious it wasn't his real hair But a lovely chap who was really helpfull.
