The dark man - 1950 British Noir

Postby peter_simpson » Sun Mar 24, 2013 10:03 am

A friend sent me a link to the above on Youtube yesterday - four parts of this B-movie (from 1951 actually..) have been uploaded. All shot around Hastings and East Sussex, with part 3 in particular including some rather good period scenes on the seafront and then at Pett Level.

Fascinating - the Maidstone and District bus, the seafront at London Road, driftwood on the beach and not a yellow line, or a parking meter in sight. This is the town as it was in my growing years! I'll have to try to buy a copy, if that's possible.
