Is that common useage now? I suppose if you insert the definite article it does look rather comical.
Is she still in her new post as Home Secretary?

well, ignoring the complaint about my use of the English language , I would like
to say that if you can see 'no reason why not' then there is nothing I could possibly
say to change your mind.

Amber Rudd had been working on the issue of 'fishing rights' in Hastings, even before the Brexit vote, people are naturally frustrated about progress but it was never going to be a simple matter to resolve.
Post-Brexit deals depend on further negotiations, which will take time to put in place - unfortunately nothing is ever done by waving a 'magic wand'.
