Very interesting info' on former history.
The Dry Cleaner's has now closed already - wonder what will pop up next?

So much for my shirts being cleaned
I can't find another Dry Cleaner's anywhere nearby or in town.

Does nobody use a Dry Cleaner's / laundry in Hastings?

In 1953, I went to Hastings Grammar School and was placed in 2J, Tommy Cookson's class in the New Building. I sat next to Vivian Cheshire. During that year we decided to try making a class newspaper. Viv had access to a family typewriter in the shop, which we used in the famous back room where the saw stood. I don't think we actually produced the paper in the end, and no mishaps befell us with the saw. Just one more memory to add to the others.
I rarely get back to Hastings these days since I have been living in Canada on and off since 1967. Crun (not my family name) was my nickname throughout my time at HGS, ending in 1961.
